OUR STORY

Neighbors was created to unite a fractured, yet powerful art scene in an area that similarly, has only begun to recognize its potential. What began as two co-workers with a mutual love for art, music, and hospitality turned into a kinship between friends and the push for a truly inclusive community. While facetiously discussing creating a food blog, (as if Hudson County needed another) we actually did it. Funny thing is our instagram handle was almost Hoboken Girls. Anyway we spent about two months posting local food reviews, cocktails and local art scenes. Based on our shared heritage, and upbringing like any other friend group we spent hours talking about what we wanted in this lifetime.

We walked to our local coffee shops in pajamas, and carried each other home after the bar, because we weren’t just like-best friends, we were neighbors.

“Neighbors” was forged before us, finding that we are all part of an already existing network. Here in Neighbors we aim to connect and build with local artists’ of all mediums and skill levels. Whether you are looking for studio space to practice your craft, need assistance in promoting & organizing events/dinners/classes, or simply need a referral. We provide a 220 sq. ft. studio space in the heart of Downtown Jersey City. Around the corner from Hamilton Park, nestled in Elevator Studios.
