This event is designed to make grant information accessible and affordable. Too often, people are discouraged from applying for grants because consultations can be expensive and professional grant writers charge high fees.

As someone with firsthand experience who successfully wrote and secured my own grant, I want to share the tools, knowledge, and resources that helped me, so others in the community can do the same.

This event will break down the process step by step, answer common questions, and provide tips that anyone can use – without needing to spend hundreds of dollars on outside help. The goal is to empower locals and organizations to confidently pursue grant opportunities that can support their projects, businesses, or community work.

To celebrate, we’re hosting the Everything is Good Food Fest. Block Party on Sunday, October 26. We are looking for food trucks!

When we were young, we were asked what we wanted to be. Our responses were typical- a teacher, a doctor, a nurse. Today things are a bit different. Girls can be cosmetologists, nail techs, salon owners & more. We want to show young girls in our community that this is possible. Enjoy FREE manicures from local salon owners & licensed cosmetologists.

For girls ages 8-16.
